Wānaka
WANAKA LAKESIDE, WANAKA
We’re experts in the local secret spots (and Lake Wānaka is 45k long- there are plenty if you know where to look.) We’ll find you the perfect lakeside location, with the perfect backdrop, for your perfect ceremony.
Adventure tip: enjoy your ceremony with your loved ones on the ground and then sneak away for a flight to a mountaintop just the two of you!
GLENDHU STATION, WANAKA
Located just a short drive from Wānaka is the stunning Glendhu Station. It’s a beautifully rugged venue with so much scope to make it your own. The ceremony site is elevated and has epic views out over Glendhu Bay and the mountains beyond. For your reception you have 2 options, either the historic woodshed onsite or the new breathtaking marquee site. A venue infused with the essence of adventure and romance - it has a little something for everyone!
LOOKOUT LODGE, WANAKA
Nestled in a natural paradise, The Lookout Lodge is surrounded with epic mountain views, and has quite possibly the best kept lawns in the whole of Wānaka. Perfect for bigger celebrations, Lookout Lodge can host up to 100 guests, but also is cosy enough to suit smaller groups too.
Stay exclusively onsite with your loved ones to enjoy a beautifully relaxed day. The surrounding areas offer some stunning locations for your photos, or get the helicopter to pick you up and whisk you away to the mountaintops.
At Rippon, you’re surrounded by stunning scenery. Not only do you get epic mountain and lake views, but you’re also nestled in a stunning biodynamic vineyard. Have your ceremony out in the natural amphitheatre overlooking Ruby Island, or cosy up inside the great hall.
A photographer’s dream, Rippon has a vast range of diverse options for photo opportunities (or helicopter off to the mountains after your ceremony) and arguably one of the best views in the area.
Nestled on the shores of Lake Wānaka, Dublin Bay Weddings is a secluded and unique venue. An elevated open lawn area provides stunning, uninterrupted view of the lake and mountains for your ceremony. This location doesn’t have a permanent venue which means that it is perfect for couples looking for something unique; go classic with a clear wedding marquee or adventurous with a tipi! Kristy Lee and her team will take good care of you with drinks flowing from the on-site container bar. Perfect if you want to start your married life with an epic celebration!
WHARE KEA LODGE, WANAKA
Whare Kea perfectly combines stunning lake and mountain views with luxurious accommodation. Located just a short drive outside of the main Wānaka township, you have exclusive use of the lodge, with no neighbours in sight.
Choose the beautiful green lawn or the cosy lounge for your ceremony and then head down to the lake for photos (or whisk away to a mountaintop). Enjoy a private chef for the evening and celebrate the start of married life in delicious style.
COROMANDEL PEAK, WANAKA
A firm favourite amongst couples- for a very good reason. Coromandel Peak (aka Mt Roy ) is nestled high above Lake Wānaka and offers awe-inspiring panoramic views over the lake and mountains. Perfect for an intimate ceremony, or to capture some stunning location photos.
Booked exclusively for your landing, you’ll have the location all to yourselves. Soak up the scenery and start your married life on a high.
LOCHNAGAR, WANAKA
A photographer’s favourite, Lochnagar is a stunning alpine lake situated in Mt Aspiring National Park. Surrounded by immense mountains, the flight will take your breath away (and if not the icy cold lake water definitely will).
Perfect for an intimate ceremony, or to capture some stunning location photos. This is a location for couples seeking the remote and spectacular, it’s pure alpine paradise.
Queenstown
QUEENSTOWN LAKESIDE, QUEENSTOWN
Our local insider knowledge of Queenstown’s hidden lakeside gems will ensure we escape the many crowds of this popular town and find the perfect backdrop to your magical ceremony.
Adventure tip: enjoy your ceremony with your loved ones on the ground and then sneak away for a flight to a mountaintop just the two of you!
CECIL PEAK, QUEENSTOWN
If you’re looking for a high drama, rocky landscape then Cecil Peak is for you. A true gem of Queenstown (and a well-deserved firm favourite amongst couples and wedding suppliers).
Located on the southside of Lake Wakatipu, Cecil Peak boasts dramatic cliffs and spectacular lake views. With lots of different landing locations, this location is very flexible in less-than-perfect weather and means we can often find a sheltered spot if needed.
THE REMARKABLES, QUEENSTOWN
There’s no mistaking where they got their name from: The Remarkables are an iconic mountain range in New Zealand. A short flight from the hangar and you'll be high above Lake Wakatipu, soaking up views of the popular town and surrounding mountains.
With various landing spots available, we can take our pick of the best location on the day to take advantage of the best light and weather. The highest landing spots are snow-covered during winter, and have dramatic rocky cliffs in summer. The lower locations have beautiful soft tussock with the odd rocky feature thrown in. A remarkable location to start married life!
BIG GEORDIE, QUEENSTOWN
A bit of a locals’ secret, Big Geordie is located on a ridge further down Lake Wakatipu towards Glenorchy. With incredible views over the head of the lake, dramatic rocky mountains behind and soft grassy tussock underneath, you really get a taste of everything!
A quieter and unique spot, Big Geordie is for those that don’t like to follow the crowds. Top tip: you won’t find a more stunning spot in autumn, at sunset.
LAKE ERSKINE, QUEENSTOWN
A firm favourite amongst the local photographers, Lake Erskine is an alpine lake hidden in the heart of Fiordland National Park. This is a truly magical location. In one direction you have the lake (beautifully clear in the warmer months and at least partially frozen in the cooler ones). In the other direction there’s a rocky ledge with endless views out into the wilderness.
The top pick for adventure seekers and those that want a once-in-a lifetime alpine experience.
STONERIDGE, QUEENSTOWN
The perfect spot for couples looking for some fairytale magic. Stoneridge’s Chapel by the Lake has two ceremony locations (inside the quaint chapel or outside on the perfectly manicured lawn); this venue has you covered whatever the weather.
The grounds at Stoneridge offer a beautiful variety of options for your photos: grapevines, a pond and even historic stone ruins. Another option is to hop on a helicopter and venture offsite to Coronet Peak for dramatic alpine photos.
